The Bush camp is situated on a lovely bay above the mighty Zambezi river. Just 15 minutes drive from the small town of Sioma the camp is just a few kilometers from the Sioma Ngweshi National Park and is entered by a short drive from the main road between Shesheke and Sioma. It is a safe and tranquil haven!
Comfortable but basic the camp was built by local people using designs based on a Lozi village. There are five traditional African huts dotted around and linked by sand covered pathways. Each hut sleeps between 2 and 6 people and has single or bunk beds with mosquito nets. In addition, the camp has a small dormitory for a maximum of 10 sharing. Some of the huts have en suite facilities with showers and toilets, others have access to shared facilities.
The camp has a well equipped kitchen, a meeting place and a beautiful dining hall overlooking the river with a deck and a camp fire for those winter nights. The camp has its own water tank and area for washing clothes.
Staff: Ida is our manager and cook. She is helped by an assistant and four staff, including a night watchman, who are always available for guests.
