After 10 years supporting a secondary and 2 primary schools Mrs. Lesley Meyer and some of her colleagues at the International School of Geneva concluded that in addition to the material help there is an opportunity to improve the teaching itself.
Teachers in the bush are regularly left to themselves and have no means to exchange views with colleagues.
For the most part they do not meet colleagues from other school because they have no means of travel and there is no culture of bringing colleagues together.
The biannual teacher training workshops are organised by ZEEC and run by International School teachers.
They do this entirely at their own cost.
